湧水町立轟小学校へようこそ～Todoroki Elementary School～

　 ５月22日（水），５時間目に選書会がありました。

　どの学年も楽しそうに本を選んでいました。

　早く図書室に届くといいね♪

 There was a selection of books meeting. They were happily choosing the books they wanted to read.
 We can't wait for the books we chose to arrive at our library.

　５月15日（水）から16日（木）にかけて，５，６年生は３校合同集団宿泊学習に参加しました。
　場所は県立霧島自然ふれあいセンターでした。
　
　朝，学校で出発式を行いました。

　校長先生のお話の後，さっそくバスにのって出発しました♪

　県立霧島自然ふれあいセンターに着いたら，早速いろんな活動に取り組みました。

　夜は，灯火のつどいや３校合同のレクリェーションを楽しみました。

　２日目は主に野外活動をしました。

　１泊２日の間には，いろんな学校のお友達との交流もあり，楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

  There was a school educational camp on May 15th and 16th.” 5th and 6th graders from Uwaba, Koda, and our school joined this program.

  They enjoyed activities such as horseback riding, playing with flying discs, and painting chopsticks.

  At night, they enjoyed a gathering with lights and enjoyed recreational activities.

  I believe the overnight study trip for two days and one night was a very good experience for the students.

　 ５月10日（金）の朝は，ふれあい体育でした。
　５月24（金）の新体力テストに向けて練習をしました。

　まずは全体で，新体力テストの説明を受けます。

　 説明後，早速取り組みました。
　１年生も来年の新体力テストに向けて，２～６年生と一緒に参加しました。

　本番では，練習の成果が出せるように頑張ってほしいです。

  We had practice for the physical fitness test.
  The children took on the challenge of the 50-meter dash, softball throw, and standing long jump.
  The principal also ran in the 50-meter dash along with the children.
  I hope to demonstrate the results of the childrens' practice on the day of the physical fitness test.

　５月７日（火）から11日（土）まで，スケッチ大会週間でした。
　それぞれの学年で，時間を決めて思い思いの絵を描きました。

　１・２年生は「学校生活で楽しいこと」についてスケッチしました。

　３・４年生は，タブレットで写真をとり，それをもとにスケッチをしました。

　５・６年生は，校外に出て，風景画や建物，植物のスケッチに挑戦しました。

　作品の完成が楽しみです♪

　This week was Sketch Contest Week.
　The first and second graders sketched about ‘fun things in school life’.
　The third and fourth graders used tablets to draw pictures.
　The fifth and sixth graders outside to try sketching landscapes, buildings, and plants.
　They enjoyed this event very much!!

    ５月７日（水）は，全校一斉による性に関する授業がありました。

　 ５・６年生は男女の体の仕組みや違いについて学習しました。

　その後，男女に分かれて，どんなことに気を付けて宿泊学習に臨んだらよいか，考えました。

　 ３・４年生は，パーソナルスペースについて学習しました。

　人との距離の保ち方を，メジャーを使って確認しました。

　１・２年生は，人（自分）の誕生と自分を守るためにはどうしたらよいかについて学習しました。

　発達段階によって内容は違いますが，よりよい人間関係を築くため男女の性や考え方，望ましい生き方などについて，じっくりと考える学習になりました。

　We had a class about gender.
Students had good chances about their gender.
Although the content varies depending on the stage of development, it was a learning experience that involved careful consideration about the gender and their ways of thinking, as well as desirable lifestyles, in order to build better each other's relationships.”

　５月３日（金）から６日（月）は，５月の大型連休（Golden Week）でした。
　４連休後の登校でしたが，さすがは轟っ子‼みんな元気に学校に登校してきました♪

　全校朝会があり，校長先生が新聞記事に載っていたアンジェラ・アキさんのお話を紹介しました。

　「なぜ，学校に行って勉強をするのか？」という問いかけをし，アンジェラ・アキさんのコメントを紹介しました。
　
　アンジェラ・アキさんは，「努力することを身につけるため。それが将来の自己管理ができる力につながっていくから。」と答えたそうです。

　読書をとおして感動体験をすることの素晴らしさや知識を身に付け，宿題をすることや忘れ物をしないのは当たり前という話もしました。
忘れ物をよくする人は，「どうやったら忘れ物をしなくなるのか。」ということを自分なりに考え行動することが大事だと，校長先生の体験をとおして話をしました。

　やればできる轟っ子‼これからも努力し続けていろんなことにチャレンジしましょう♪

　We had a four days holiday's called “ Golden Week holidays.”
After GW holidays, both students and principal looked a little tired, they enjoyed talking or playing with their friends.
Principal introduced an article about Angela Aki.
Angela says, “Going to school is about learning to make efforts. It leads to developing the ability for future self-management.”
Principal also talked about his experience.

　Let's keep challenging and trying various things for the future!!

　５月１日（水）に，交通安全教室がありました。
  伊佐湧水警察署の方が来てくださいました。

低学年（１・２年生）は，横断歩道の渡り方について学習しました。

中・高学年（３～６年生）は，自転車事故についてのビデオを見ました。

校長先生の話
校長先生から，自転車は乗り方を間違えると人の命を奪って，加害者になってしまうこと，車は急に止まれないので飛び出しをすると車にはねられてしまうことという話がありました。

自転車に乗るときや，道路を横断するときは，交通ルールをしっかり守って自分の命を守りましょう。

We had a traffic safety class.
The first and second graders learned about how to cross the crosswalk.
The third to sixth graders watched a video about bicycle accidents.
Be careful when we ride a bike.
Let's follow the traffic rules and live safely.

　 ４月26日（金）は，１年生を迎える会がありました。

　６年生と一緒に，入場です。

　「夢みるジャンプ」を歌って１年生を歓迎♪

　 各学年で１年生を歓迎する出し物をしました。

  ２年生は自分たちの自己紹介と「１年生になったら」を歌いました。

　３・４年生は，学校クイズをしました。

　５・６年生は主な学校行事の紹介をしました。

　各学年の発表後，１年生の自己紹介がありました。
  大きな声で発表できました。

　その後は，全校一斉にレクリエーションをしました。

　レクリエーションの後，上級生からメダルをプレゼントされました。

　１年生にとっても，２年生から６年生にとっても，とても楽しい時間になりました。
　これからもみんなで仲良く様々な行事に取組んでいきます‼

　They enjoyed it very much.
　We had a very good time.
