１月22日（水）は，来年度入学してくる新１年生及び保護者を対象に，入学説明会がありました。
１年生の授業見学（算数の計算）をしました。
その後，保護者は説明会会場へ
新１年生はそのまま教室に残り，１年生と一緒に交流をしたり，学校を案内してもらったりしました。
４月から轟小学校の仲間入りです。
みんなが入学してくる日を楽しみにしています♪
The students who will be entering our school in April of this year visit our school with their parents. They looked nervous, but soon they enjoyed talking with the first graders.

６月に植えた金山ネギ。いよいよ収穫の日が来ました！
12月17日（火），５・６年生の児童は自分たちが栽培したネギを収穫しました。
ネギを植えている場所に到着
収穫したネギの根っこをきれいにカットしたり，外側の皮をむいたりする作業に取り組みました。
とてもきれいなネギが収穫できました。
指導をしてくださった関係の方々に感謝の気持ちで一杯です。
収穫したネギを感謝の気持ちで美味しくいただいてほしいと思います。
5th and 6th graders harvested the Kinzan green onions.
They worked on cutting the roots of the harvested or peeling off the green onions.

１２月４日（水）は，２年生は生活科見学で，くりの図書館に行ってきました。
係の先生から図書館の説明がありました。
図書館のお仕事にチャレンジ
館内で読み聞かせをしてもらったり,いろんな本を読んだりしました。
図書館の様子を知ることができて，良い勉強になりました。
2nd graders visited the local library called "Kurino Library" as part of their life studies class. The staff at the library explained about the library.
The students tried the library work.
They listened to the stories or read various books there.
It was a great learning experience to get to know the library.
They enjoyed it very much.

11月５日（火），５・６校時は，５・６年生が花とのふれあい事業でフラワーアレンジメントにチャレンジしました。
今回講師を引き受けてくださった福岡生花の社長さんは，轟小出身でした。とても懐かしそうに授業をしていただきました。
生花店の社長さんの指導のもと，素敵なフラワーアレンジメントができました。
子どもたちも初めての体験で，とても楽しそうにアレンジメントを楽しんでいました。
5th and 6th graders tried flower arranging as part of the Flower Interaction Project.
They did it for the first time and they enjoyed arranging flowers.
They made wonderful works. Good job, everyone!!
11月１日（金），５校時は，家庭教育学級で１年生親子がジェルキャンドル作りにチャレンジしました。
講師の先生の指導のもと，親子で協力しながら，世界に一つしかない個性的なジェルキャンドルを作成することができました。
学校保健委員会では，「心は育てることができる⁉～レジリエンスについて知ろう～」と題して， 学校カウンセラーによる，人生において逆境や困難に遭った時にもその状態に耐え，そこから回復するしなやかな心を育てることについて講演がありました。
給食試食会では，子どもたちは保護者の方と一緒に給食を食べました😋
県民週間期間の後は，学習発表会が控えています。
子どもたちの頑張りを是非見に来てほしいと思います。
We had a family education class and a school health committee meeting in our school.
In family education class「家庭教育学級」，1st year graders students and their parents tried to make jel candles. Each of them created unique works. They looked happy.
At the school health committee meeting, there was a lecture by the school counselor titled "Can We Cultivate the Heart? ~Understanding Resilience~".
The lecture focused on developing a resilient mind that can endure and recover from adversities and difficulties in life.
At the school lunch tasting event, the children ate lunch together with their parents. 😋
After the Prefectural Citizens' Week, We will have a Learning Presentation Event.
We hope many people will come and see the childrens' hard work.
11月１日（金）から11月７日（木）まで，地域が育む「かごしまの教育」県民週間です。この機会に，子どもたちの頑張っている姿を見にいらしてください。
11月１日（金），2校時は，「高原フェスタ」ＰＲ活動ということで，チェーンソーアーティスト３人が学校を訪問し，チェーンソーアートの話をしてくださいました。

On Friday, November 1st, three chainsaw artists visited our school.
They talked about why they became chainsaw artists or their works.
The students were really moved their works.
We hope they continue to create various artworks!! Thank you!!
10月12日（土）の生活科の時間に１年生はシューズ洗いをしました。
いつもはお家の人に洗ってもらっていますが，この日は自分たちできれいに洗いました♪
これを機に，お家でできるお手伝いにどんどん取り組んでほしいと思います。
On Saturday, October 12th, the first-graders tried washing their shoes during their life skills class.
They did it very well.
I hope they will continue to help out more and more at home!!
10月９日（水）は，５，６年生の総合的な学習の一環として，ネギ畑の草取りをしました。
こんなに草を取りました。
みんなが草取りを頑張ってくれたおかげで，きっとおいしい金山ネギができることと思います。収穫が楽しみです。
5th and 6th graders weeded the green onion field hard.
They pulled out a lot of weeds.
Thanks to everyone's hard work in weeding, I'm sure they'll have delicious Kinzan green onions.
I think they're looking forward to the harvest.
７月10日（水）に，３・４年生が社会科見学の一環として，コカ・コーラえびの工場に行きました。
側面のコカ・コーラの看板に囲まれています
係の方が解説をしてくださいました。
コカ・コーラについて
リサイクルのことも解説してくださいました。社会科の学習（３年：工場の仕事 ４年：ごみはどこへ）を深めることができました。
熱心にメモをとって，真剣に話を聞いています。
最後に自販機で自分の好きなコカ・コーラ製品を選び，みんなで飲みました。
「また行きたい」という児童もいて，楽しい社会科見学になりました。
コカ・コーラえびの工場の方々，ありがとうございました。
The 3rd and 4th graders went to the Coca Cola factory in Ebino as part of a social studies field trip.
The 3rd graders learned about the factory work. The 4th graders learned about recycling.
They chose their favorite Coca Cola products frome the vending machine and drank them.
Thank you very much to everyone at the Coca Cola factory.
７月９日（火）の５，６校時に５・６年生を対象としたカヌー教室がありました。
まず始めに講師の植林伸洋先生からカヌーのこぎ方について説明がありました。

実際にカヌーに乗ってみます
実際にカヌーに乗った子どもたちは，とても嬉しそうにパドルを上手に扱って漕いでいました。
９月には，国民スポーツ佐賀大会のカヌー競技が轟の瀬で行われます。このカヌー体験学習で習ったことを通して参観し，カヌー競技の楽しさを感じてほしいと思います。
5th and 6th graders had a canoe class.
Mr.Uebayashi taught how to ride a canoe to them.
They skillfully handled the paddles and were happily paddling the canoe.
In September, the canoe competition of the National Sports Festival in Saga will take place at the Todoroki Rapids.
