湧水町立轟小学校へようこそ～Todoroki Elementary School～

轟小卒業生の活躍が、本日の南日本新聞に掲載されていました。

これからも轟小の子どもたちの活躍が楽しみですね。

　3月9日付けの南日本新聞「わたしたち　ふるさと発見隊」に本校5・6年が作成した「金山ねぎ学習」に関連する記事が掲載されました。

　この学習にあたり講師としてだけでなく畑の提供や管理など，様々な協力をしてくださった野田末廣さんとご家族の皆様には感謝の気持ちで一杯です。

　本当にありがとうございました。

　２月17日（月）に，全校児童で県下一周駅伝の応援に行きました。湯之尾から横川の区間を轟小学校出身の選手が鹿児島チームの選手として出場するということで，応援にも熱が入りました。

　轟小学校出身の植林駿介選手の走りに感動した子どもたちでした。

　湧水町からもう一人伊佐チームの選手として出場していました。
　吉松出身の宮田章也選手です。

　 今年の駅伝は湧水町出身が大活躍でした。

　先輩に負けないように，これからも轟っ子魂を発揮して，運動に勉強に頑張ってほしいと思います。そして，先輩に続いて，将来，県下一周駅伝にチャレンジする児童が出てくることを楽しみにしています♪

　On Monday, February 17th, the Kagoshima Prefecture Ekiden Relay Race was held.
　Our students went to cheer on the Ekiden runners.
   One of the runner comes from Todoroki Elementary School!!He is a good runner♪
   I hope the students will continue to show their Todoroki spirit in both sports and studies through this Ekiden runners.                                                                             I also look forward to seeing them follow in their seniors' footsteps and challenge themselves in the Kagoshima Prefecture Ekiden Relay Race in the future.

　１月20日（月）から1月26日（日）の１週間は，学校給食週間です。
　それに伴い，１月21日（火），５・６年生及び１年生を対象に，みんなの給食を作ってくださっている栄養教諭の土元先生による「食に関する授業」がありました。

　５・６年生の授業の様子
「わたしたちの周りにはどんな食材や料理があるのだろう」について，学習しました。

　１年生の授業の様子
「きゅうしょくはどのようにつくられているのか」について，学習しました。

　今日は給食に湧水米の新米が出ました。本校の保護者の方が作られた湧水米です。郷土料理は，その土地や気候に合った食材や料理で，栄養バランスが良く健康によいものです。郷土の恵みに感謝の時間になりました。

　The fifth, sixth graders and the first graders had a lesson about food.
　Ms. Tsuchimoto(She is a Kurino ES teacher and a nutrition teacher.) taught them to the students.
　The fifith and sixth graders learned about Japanese(local) food.
　The first graders learned about “how school lunch are made”.

　Let's appreciate the people who make our school lunches and eat them.

　６月に植えた金山ネギ。いよいよ収穫の日が来ました！
　12月17日（火），５・６年生の児童は自分たちが栽培したネギを収穫しました。

　ネギを植えている場所に到着

　収穫したネギの根っこをきれいにカットしたり，外側の皮をむいたりする作業に取り組みました。

　 とてもきれいなネギが収穫できました。
　指導をしてくださった関係の方々に感謝の気持ちで一杯です。
　収穫したネギを感謝の気持ちで美味しくいただいてほしいと思います。

 5th and 6th graders harvested the Kinzan green onions.
 They worked on cutting the roots of the harvested or peeling off the green onions.
 Thank you to those who provided guidance on how to plant Kinzan green onions.

　11月12日（火）は，1年生から4年生が植えた芋の収穫をしました。

 　地域の方のご厚意で，毎年サツマイモの苗を頂いて，大切に育てました。
　芋の収穫をしながら，草取りも頑張りました。

　さて，どうやって食べるか，これから楽しみです♪

 On Tuesday, November 12th, the first to fourth graders harvested the sweet potatoes they had planted.
 While harvesting the sweet potatoes, we also worked hard to weed.
 We can't to wait to eat them!! Well, how should we cook these sweet potatoes?

　11月１日（金）から11月７日（木）まで，地域が育む「かごしまの教育」県民週間です。この機会に，子どもたちの頑張っている姿を見にいらしてください。

　11月１日（金），2校時は，「高原フェスタ」ＰＲ活動ということで，チェーンソーアーティスト３人が学校を訪問し，チェーンソーアートの話をしてくださいました。

On Friday, November 1st, three chainsaw artists visited our school.
They talked about why they became chainsaw artists or their works.
The students were really moved their works.
We hope they continue to create various artworks!! Thank you!!

　10月13日（日）は，勝栗神社内の道場で，町豊祭相撲大会がありました。
轟小学校からは９人の児童が参加しました。

　子ども達は，一生懸命練習で取り組んだ成果を発揮すべく頑張っていました。
　負けて，悔し涙を流す子どももいました。その姿に見ている私達ももらい泣きをしました。その経験は，きっと次に生かされると思います。

　この豊祭相撲大会に向けて，栄養会などのサポートや夕方遅くまで練習や指導に当たってくださった保護者の皆様や地域の皆様に感謝です。ありがとうございました。

 There was a Yusui-cho Sumo tournament(called Hosai Sumo) on Sunday, October 13th.”
 Nine students joined this event.
 They gave their best effort in each and every match.
 Some of them cried after losing their match, but I believe this experience will be useful for them in the future.
 We are grateful to the parents and community members who supported them. They helped with practice and coaching late into the evenings in preparation for Housai Sumo tournament.

　10月９日（水）は，５，６年生の総合的な学習の一環として，ネギ畑の草取りをしました。

こんなに草を取りました。

　みんなが草取りを頑張ってくれたおかげで，きっとおいしい金山ネギができることと思います。収穫が楽しみです。

 5th and 6th graders weeded the green onion field hard.
 They pulled out a lot of weeds.
 Thanks to everyone's hard work in weeding, I'm sure they'll have delicious Kinzan green onions.
 I think they're looking forward to the harvest.

　９月26日（水）に，栗野町にお住まいの講師を２人お招きして，湧水音頭の学習をしました。

今年の運動会，みんなで踊ります。

最後に円になって，踊れるようになったか確認

　 最初は，ぎこちない動きでしたが，少しずつ上手に踊れるようになりました。
　運動会での児童の湧水音頭が楽しみです。

 We practiced how to dance“Yusui Ondo”．

 We learned that each dance movement has its own meaning.

 At first, they were not good at dancing, but they gradually became better at dancing.

 I hope everyone practices dancing a lot and performs energetically at the sports day.
